Property Certificate of registration – Assistant Agent under the Property and Stock Agents Act 2002

Use this form to apply as an individual for an Assistant Agent. A Property certificate lets you work as an assistant agent in:


  • Real Estate
  • Strata Management
  • Stock and Station

A Certificate of Registration is issued for 4 years and are non-renewable. If you have held a certificate in the last 12 months you may not be eligible to apply again, please refer to the NSW Fair Trading website

Do not apply online if adding category to a current certificate, please complete the application form

  • You must be 16 years or older
  • Have completed
    • 5 core units from CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (real estate and stock and station agents), or
    • 7 core units from CPP40516 Certificate IV in Strata Community Management (strata managing agents), or
    • are applying under mutual recognition with an equivalent certificate in another jurisdiction or
    • previously held an equivalent certificate of registration.

Attachments and information, you may need:

  • 2 forms of identification
  • The details of your previous licence or certificate of registration (if applicable)
  • Copy of your qualification certificate/s
  • Or Mutual recognition applicants
